The west coast government organization sought to eliminate its reliance on its existing ADP system for tax reporting and fully transition the associated functions to Workday, including W-2s, 1099s, and other employee and vendor forms. This change was prompted by the company’s new Finance director and their growing dissatisfaction with the integration complexity and lack of visibility across their ADP landscape, but required additional support to streamline the transition.
Most of the required data is already in the client’s existing Workday system, but the internal team needed tailored expertise to handle custom reporting and configuration in alignment with both state and federal requirements. Surety came in to lead the end-to-end transition from ADP tax reporting to Workday, handling tasks like assessing current processes, developing migration plans for existing data forms, and optimizing parallel run and year-end tax reporting processes.
By collaborating with the client’s internal staff, our team streamlined knowledge transfer and optimized core processes across the organization. This transition supported a more efficient payroll operation, better tax reporting, and more accurate financial data for the client’s internal team.
