Creating an Oracle Support Account
Before accessing the support resources within the MOS landscape, users must either log in to an existing account or create a new My Oracle Support account. To register for an Oracle account, go to support.oracle.com and select ‘Create a My Oracle Support account.’
After the email address is confirmed, return to the homepage to enter the valid Oracle email address and choose ‘Support for Oracle Hardware, Software, and Managed Cloud Support’ to log in. If there isn’t a Support Identifier (SI) associated with the account, users will be directed to request access from their SI or CUA (Customer User Administrator) to connect their account. Once the user account is created and confirmed, users can access key support resources and complete tasks, such as:
- Leverage the Knowledge tab to search articles and find answers to their questions.
- Utilize the Community tab to collaborate with other users within the Oracle Support Community and make recommendations for Oracle Product Management.
- Submit a Service Request to contact the support team and resolve urgent issues and requests.

Submitting an Effective Service Request
When submitting a new Service Request (SR), users should provide a problem description that includes the impacted product/service, loss of functionality, sequence of events, expected results, business impact, and any workarounds.
Once the problem description is defined, users will assign an issue type, which determines the severity level of the support ticket and ensures accurate prioritization. Users can also access the Request Managment Attention template to add to their submitted Service Requests for additional assistance.
