The Surety Systems JD Edwards team just returned home from another successful Collaborate conference in Vegas. It’s the seventh straight year we’ve attended the conference and, as always, we had a blast!

Surety Systems JD Edwards Collaborate 18

Last year at Collaborate we learned that EnterpriseOne 9.2 is the last major code line release for JD Edwards. So it wasn’t too surprising that there were no groundbreaking product announcements or changes to the JD Edwards release/support timeline. Instead, the Oracle team focused on a shift toward innovative “features” rather than new “functionality” added to core ERP. Roadmap and keynote presentations centered on these new innovations that would extend and enhance existing functionality within the various areas of JD Edwards.

Orchestrator Carries the Buzz

JD Edwards Orchestrator was the talk of the town at Collaborate. I spoke with many customers who were taking a serious look at implementing this new tool. If you aren’t familiar with Orchestrator, it uses the AIS Server to allow integration of IoT, cloud services, and other third-party software data into JD Edwards. JD Edwards Orchestrator enables customers to “collect, filter, analyze, and act on real-time data as it is being transmitted” and helps customers eliminate “costly manual processes by reacting to—or avoiding—business disruptions in real-time, and by analyzing historical data for continuous process improvement.”

If you want to learn more about JD Edwards Orchestrator, here’s a great resource straight from the horse’s mouth.

Surety Systems at Collaborate

The Surety Systems booth in the exhibit hall frequently became a rallying point for both current and future customers to connect, interact, and spend time with us. Exhibiting at Collaborate is just one of the ways that Surety Systems stays connected, visible, and participative in the JD Edwards community. Between the numerous individual meetings and conversations with everyone on the exhibit hall floor, our team returned home excited and exhausted! If you stopped by, thank you! It’s always great to see familiar faces and meet new ones.

Build-Your-Own Trail Mix Bar

This year, our booth featured a trail mix bar where visitors were able to choose from an assortment of healthy, sweet, and salty snacks to create a personalized bag of trail mix. Not only did this help satisfy mid-afternoon cravings for conference-goers, but it also drove home a core value that Surety brings to the table. Just like visitors were able to pick and choose ingredients and create a unique bag of trail mix, Surety offers the same ability to mix and match JD Edwards skills to deliver the perfect consultant for your project.

Annual JD Edwards Leaders Reception

Surety Systems also held its annual “JD Edwards Leaders Reception” on Monday afternoon at the Border Grill. This invitation-only gathering provides key JD Edwards influencers the opportunity to network with colleagues in similar roles, industries, and geographies in a casual and fun environment.

Looking Ahead

After spending the past five years in Las Vegas, the Quest International Users Group—the wonderful group who hosts the conference—is taking Collaborate to San Antonio in 2019! As much as our team enjoys being in Las Vegas, we always love a change of scenery. So, we look forward to seeing everyone next year along San Antonio’s famous Riverwalk!

In the meantime, we’ll be gearing up for InFocus18 this coming August in Denver, Colorado. Can’t wait to see everyone there!
