The client was implementing a new SAP ECC 6.0 environment to replace multiple older SAP ERP environments currently deployed. This is being done to achieve global harmonization for business processes and IT infrastructure used for project management, resource management, purchasing, accounting, controlling, reporting, opportunities management, production and planning for Fuel and Equipment sectors. Along with the SAP ECC 6.0 environment, several SAP NetWeaver 7.0 offerings are being implemented including the Enterprise Portal, Process Integration, Business Intelligence, and Solution Manager. This project is also replacing and retiring multiple disparate Legacy applications currently in use.

High Level Business Solution:
Deploy current release of SAP ECC and NetWeaver components to support multiple business sectors and geographical regions that they are operating in. Capitalize on the existing know-how in SAP and re-use the best parts of the existing SAP systems. Replace and retire identified localized legacy applications that can be absorbed and harmonized using the current environment.
